Hi, my name is Miss Stevenson! I am very excited to be teaching first grade this year! I have always loved learning and helping others learn. I loved school growing up because of my wonderful teachers. They made everyday fun, exciting and interesting. Through the use of creativity and hands on activities, I hope to be the same teacher for your children. In order for your children to enjoy school and get out as much as they can from every lesson, I encourage you all to be involved in your child's education. I'm a firm believer that children learn best when their teacher and their parents collaborate. Your questions and feedback are always welcomed! Please never hesitant to contact me with any concerns you may have. My door is always open!

Now, for a little background about me - I grew up in Central Square, NY, so I am very familiar with the Central New York region. I went to Syracuse University for my undergrad. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management and a minor in Public Communications. I worked in the Marketing/Sales field for a short period of time before I quickly realized that it was not for me. I quit my job and went back to school to pursue a teaching career, which I knew would make me much happier because it was my lifelong passion. I enrolled at Le Moyne College and received my Master's degree in Elementary Education (Grades 1 - 6). I am dually certified in General and Special Education. I believe that all children deserve the right to an equal education.

I look forward to working with your child this year!
